A Little Get to Know the Girl Behind the Camera

I wish I were the type of person who could write those beautifully poetic captions or hilarious blog posts — but that just isn’t me. My life is basically a game of charades as I try to get my thoughts out (and bless anyone who isn’t good at that game).

If you’ve ever been in front of my camera, you already know — I’m more of a “let me show you” than “let me tell you” kind of gal. So, bear with me while I attempt to share a few details about the person behind the lens:

• I’m the youngest and the only girl — and yes, I was spoiled for most of my life. Turns out, in the real world, people don’t just do things for you because you asked (shocking, I know). My family means everything to me, and I wouldn’t be who I am without them. The older I get, the more I appreciate the time I get to spend with them — and how important it is to slow down a little and be present in those moments.

• I’m incredibly competitive. I can turn a “friendly” game into something that feels like the Olympics. Maybe it’s a youngest-sibling thing, but I’ll get creative if it means winning.

• I love to dance. Grocery store aisles, dance floors — doesn’t matter. If there’s music, I’m moving, even if it embarrasses whoever’s with me.

• Riding is my therapy. My horses know my heart better than anyone. I started team roping as a teenager, and though life has pulled me in new directions lately, it’s still one of my favorite things in the world.

• I’m actually very shy. Definitely an introvert, and being in groups gives me anxiety. But the second I’m behind the camera, my focus shifts — it’s where I feel most myself.

• Mental health is close to my heart. I want to help soften the way people see mental health struggles — to show that it can look different for everyone. It’s vulnerable and scary to share those parts of myself, but the people and connections I’ve made through being open — both personally and in business — have been incredible.

After more than 10 years in photography, I’m still in awe that I get to do this — to capture so many special memories and connections. I started with a little bit of everything and thought I’d focus on couples, but the truth is, I love capturing it all.

If my work resonates with you, reach out. If it’s the right fit, I’d be honored to help tell your story through my lens.

Much love,
